The Serious Side of Relaxation
Just 'n case you've been wondering what
other profession might possibly be similar to running a salon and day spa, have
I got the answer for you: producing a long running Broadway show. There's a
schedule that has to be adhered to, a mood that must be set, and most
importantly an audience that has to be wowed!
A typical day in our salon begins at 7:00
am. The props here are fountains and lighting and sparkling tiles and mirrors to
create just the right atmosphere- as we prepare for the arrival of our
customers, there are flowers to arrange, mud, seaweed, and ginseng to mix. There
are robes to fluff, and beverages to prepare; (even the fresh brewing coffee
takes on the rhythm of an overture).
Curtain up: the first guest arrives at 8.00
am on Sunday morning. No matter what confusion and excitement is taking place
backstage, the client only sees and feels the mood specifically created for the
occasion, the performance. In this case a sense of calm and serenity, and most
of all total skill and professionalism. Our clients are made to feel that when
they leave our establishment they will be looking and feeling a heck of a lot
better than when they arrived. The
performance always has to hit the mark. We are well aware that when the
audience—or in this case the client—exits the reviews are going to start pouring
in. And like any long running production, the public has already spoken,
regarding Rosanna's Salon and Day Spa. All raves, all the time! And the reason
we do all this, like any good producer, we love what we do. And that's why our
customers keep coming back. Ah the salon business! There's no business like it! |
